Advances in the Treatment of Anxiety
One of the most common presenting problems that psychologists, psychotherapists and other professionals face is the growing number of clients presenting with stress and anxiety complaints. Professionals need more effective tools to help their clients deal with the pressures of life. The training took place three times on different dates in 2016. This course distilled new developments from the fields of Neuroscience, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy and Eastern medicine. It examined the different scientifically supported tools and treatments that are used around the world to treat anxiety. Participants learned effective coping skills to help their clients master their anxieties and eliminate fears.
The Audience
The participants of this training included psychologists, psychotherapists and all other health practitioners working with clients dealing with anxiety.
Goals
To teach participants practical clinical tools, strategies and effective clinical approaches to support them in dealing with clients presenting with stress-related issues and anxiety.
To demonstrate and practice several clinically effective tools from CBT, Gestalt, Holistic Psychotherapies, Behavioural Neuroscience, Mindfulness Meditation, Yoga Therapy and other disciplines from Eastern and Western medicines.
This course was accredited by the OPQ and offered 16 continued education hours for psychologists and psychotherapists.
